So I renewed my domain back in April, but didn’t realize they sent a verification email to an old email address I no longer use and am no longer able to access. Meanwhile, the only email I have used for over 15 years since creating this domain has stopped working because it is associated with this domain and the domain is now suspended because I never knew about the verification email that was sent to old, defunct email address. I have tried updating to a new old secondary email that I was able to gain access to (because the site will not let me use an email associated with this domain), but now wordpress wants me to verify an email sent to the updated email AND the old email that caused the issue in the first place, and then it said they would send the email to updated email and the email associated with this domain as backup – but the email associated with this domain is currently not working because my domain is suspended – JESUS! I have been trying to figure this out for TWO DAYS!! Is there an effing human that could help me fix this clusterF!!

  • Hi! We’ve got you in chat and are working on a fix. Cheers!

Wow, the only way I could get any kind of human help over the weekend was by trying to commit to upgrading my subscription … then I got a bot who finally directed me to a happiness engineer who was finally able to start the process of getting this fixed. Crazy that it takes a 15+ year customer 4 days of digging just to figure out what went wrong with this mess only to find out there was no one to help other than someone who was finally called once I was willing to wave more money in their face. Not a good look WordPress! I was informed this will likely take “a few more days to fix,” but that “it will get fixed.” However, that means I will be without my domain and my primary email that is attached to it for at least a week if not more. This is NOT an inconvenience for me. This is a MAJOR ISSUE for me! SMH

  • We can review the bot interactions for you if you’d like. For now, though, we’ll keep working with you by email, so I’ll close this out to keep the updates in one place and avoid the need to ping in extra places as you mentioned in chat. We will get this sorted out for you. Cheers!
