Cannot update my webpage

  My website was constructed by a website specialist who has since disappeared. I am now unable to update the website as my permissions are limited to page editing.
  How do I unlock the website for updating

  Hi, thanks for your response. I am not sure if our page was open-source. Am happy to pay for the licence to resolve this if needed. Where do I find this out.

  Hi Bruce,

  That site’s not hosted with us, no, but using the stand-alone WordPress software at another host. That means we don’t have any control over that site, and no way to help you with this.

  The WordPress.org forums my colleague linked to above are the right place to ask for help on how your version of WordPress works, but to change your permissions/user role if the site admin is no longer available you’ll need access to the site database. Only the hosting provider for the site can give you that access.

  It looks like your site is hosted with https://synergywholesale.com/, so your best bet here is to contact them directly and see if you can get access to the site’s hosting account with them. Once you have access to the hosting account, you’ll have full control and the folks in the WordPress.org forums will be able to advise you from that point onwards.
