Cannot update plugins, error -1
-
Hello everyone,
I recently came across an issue on one of my sites and I’ve exhausted myself troubleshooting it.
I cannot seem to be able to update plugins, they all result in an error -1. After this, the website goes into maintenance mode and doesn’t exit it on its own and requires me to manually delete the maintenance file.
Please let me know what logs/other information is required.
Thanks!

Hi there,
I believe that this is the same issue as this one. So, I recommend disabling the Premium Starter Templates plugin and then trying to update your plugins.
I also want to point out that we don’t host your site on our WordPress.com managed hosting. So, it can be difficult to assist with your issue.
To explain, we are a fully managed hosting provider and use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress, provides built-in security and performance improvements, as well as in-house support for your site questions.
Because of the way we’ve optimized our service, we also use a customized version of WordPress that is different (under the hood) from what you use at your current host. As a result, we do not have access to your site and are not familiar with the exact source of your issue.
The good news is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
The folks in that forum are more familiar with these kinds of issues and are in the best position to help.
If you continue to have issues, you may want to consider migrating to our Business or eCommerce hosting.
If you are curious to know more, we’re happy to answer any questions you have, and since you already use WordPress for our current site, you would be able to use our simple migration tool to move it over to this account.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
