cannot upload a picture

  hello
  i cannot upload a picture and i do not know why.
  i have already uploaded pictures with the same size but this one does not seem to be right.
  its size is 884kb but even if i shrink it to 228kb it cannot get uploaded.
  can you please help me?

  What exactly happens when you try? Are you getting any sort of error message?

  not really, it freezes (the hohurglass keeps turning and never stops)
  after a long time i decide to quit and close the window
