Cannot upload filetype for security reasons error

    i need help. All of a sudden i cannot upload any media file because i am getting the msg, cannot upload filetype for security reasons.
    I was successfully uploading images but after i tried uploading an .mp4 video, this problem started. After that i could not even upload any .jpg or other image files. Tried downloading pkugin for adding mime, enptied cache n browser history. Tried doing this on laptop n smartphone. I need to get around tbis cause i cannot publish my new post without images. Please help.

    seekersarefinders.com is using WordPress.org and it’s hosted on a server other than WordPress.com.

    This forum supports WordPress.com hosted sites only. You can get some help for your issue in the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support/

    WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress.org are different which can be confusing. You can learn the difference between both at https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Hi there,

    Are you trying to add the files via the WP-Admin editor for the site, or via the WordPress.com interface? If you’re unable to upload on either, it points to a problem on your hosting provider’s end, so please contact them for help in that case.
