Cannot upload images

    I cannot upload any images onto my site, I get this error:

    ‘Post processing of the image likely failed because the server is busy or does not have enough resources, uploading a smaller image may help. Suggested maximum size is 2500 pixels.’

    The problem seems to have nothing to do with the size of images as even smaller images will not load.
    I have had long discussions with my hosting company and they cannot find any problems at their end and they say I need to speak with WordPress.

    Please Help.
