Cannot Upload Images

I’ve read the threads where people discuss uploading problems but I’m not even getting as far as they were.
I’m in my post and I click “add an image”, my screen goes gray except for a little rectangle in the middle with moving stripes (like a sideways barber pole), and it just stays like that forever. I’ve been trying it over and over for a couple hours now.

What web browser are you using? What URL are you using to access your dashboard? Are there any error messages in your browser’s error console?

yes it happens to me sometimes,its possible its because your connection is slow. You can also try copy and paste,that works just as easily as uploading.

internet explorer and there were never any error messages. It happened a few times but not recently,mostly what happens now is when i upload the picture i still can’t see it even though its there.So what i do now is simply copy and paste the image,saves me all the hassle….

I use Internet Explorer and my URL for my dashboard is http://angstgirl.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php. There are no error messages. Previously I uploaded pictures (about a month ago) so I don’t really understand why I’m having so many problems now.
buenotc: I have a fairly fast DSL cable connection so I don’t think that’s the problem. When I tried to copy and paste, there was just an empty space.

Yea sometimes copy and paste doesn’t work,but usually when one doesn’t work the other method does.
