Cannot Upload Media to Post

I’m trying to add pictures to my blog post and continue getting the error: ‘file could not be uploaded because an error occurred while uploading’ I have tried everything and cannot seem to resolve this. This is really causing problems… As I cannot post without adding in photos. Please help.
PS. I am NOT a coder or anything fancy, just a normal girl with a blog… Please use basic terms and solutions that are workable by someone who is not extremely tech savvy.

Could you try clearing your browser cache and then posting again? You can learn how to clear your cache by following these steps – https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache

All WordPress.com blogs come with 3 GB of space for uploaded files and images. If you upload a lot of images you may have exceeded your free space allocation https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/ and may require an upgrade.
Go to your media library to check http://alwaysgivegrace.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php
Is the image an accepted file type?
See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/#imagesWhat is the size of the image? Maximum file size – We’ve had good success with file sizes up to 1 GB. Remember, uploading big files can take a long time!
