Cannot upload themes or add plugins

The ownership of this site has been transferred to me. It has the Business plan and a custom domain. I am still getting these error messages when I try to upload a theme or install a plugin:
“Site owner access required: Only site owners are allowed to use this feature.
Not a custom domain owner: You must be the owner of the primary domain subscription to use this feature.”
I also see no ability to upload plugins
What can I do to fix this?

Did they also transfer the upgrades as well?
If you are logged in with the account that now has the Business plan upgrade, you should be able to log a support ticket if LiveChat is not available.

Also, I changed the username on my account after the client transferred ownership of their blog to me. Changing my username wouldn’t affect ownership, right?

@likethegoddess if you just created a new account rather than changing names on the account that owns the upgrades, that would cause issues.
What is the other username? And are you still able to log in as that?

So, you’re saying that changing the username did *not* cause any issues, yes? That if I created a new account, that would have caused issues.
Strangely, I cannot sign in with either username. I can only sign in with the account’s email.

@likethegoddess If you take an existing account and change its username, we’ll know it’s still you. I can see you changed the username on one account, but this account is separate.
Since “likethegoddess” is not the upgrade owner, can you tell me what other username you are working with?
