Cannot upload video clip to blog

  I tried to add a video clip for the first time, to my blog. My clip is a .AVI (taken with a digital camera and downloaded o my Mac.) When I tried to upload it to a blog post, I got a message that said the file type didn’t meet security requirements or something like that. Is it possible to upload a movie clip that is .AVI ? If not, how might I convert it to a type that is acceptable?

  It is not possible to upload video clips to a WordPress.com blog unless you’ve purchased the Space upgrade, and then there are restrictions to the file type. Check this thread for details:

  Oh Goodness, I had no idea. When you go to “add new post” there is an upload button for a video so I figured it was possible. Thanks for the info and the link.
