cannot use tags

  Wordpress seems to have messed something up. I can’t use tags in my blog posts, when I type a few characters (either of an existing or a new tag), they appear for a moment and then disappear. What happened?

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  Same here. You type one character and it immediately kicks you out of the box and clears it at the same time.

  Tags still work in Jetpack, though. So, if you can, a workaround would be to write the rest of your post however you normally do and save it to drafts. Then, go into Jetpack to add your tags.

  Hopefully, WP will get it fixed soon, though.

  Just a reminder that these forums assist sites hosted by WordPress.com, the hosting provider. More info here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/#are-wordpress-org-and-wordpress-com-the-same-thing and you can use the Site Profiler to check if you are not sure where you are hosted https://wordpress.com/site-profiler

  As a workaround to adding existing or new Tags to a Post, you can head to your Posts WP Admin Classic Dashboard https://wordpress.com/support/edit-pages-screen/ and click “Quick Edit” that appears after you hover your cursor over the Post Title

  Once the Quick Edit section opens, you can add and remove tags from the Tags section. Click “Update” after making any changes.

  Hopefully we’ll get a quick fix for this. Thanks for your patience.

  I believe that a fix for this issue was pushed out just recently or is in the process of being pushed out. Please check your sites and let us know if you are still unable to add new or existing tags to a post.
