Cannot Utilize Featured Header

  Help with FEATURED HEADER option.

  According the Themes Showcase search, Sempress has Featured Header option. Elsewhere in support, it states that Featured Headers can be used “when enabled,” but I cannot figure it out for the life of me!

  Is there a place to set a Featured Header for each specific page? And when I set a Featured Image, the header doesn’t change.

  ***Please note that my site currently does not use Sempress.

  You’re confusing featured header with custom header.
  Custom header means you can upload and insert your own header image (in Appearance > Header); supported in most themes, including Sempress.
  Featured header means you can display a different header image when you view a single post or a static page (by setting a suitably sized image as a featured image to that post or page); supported in some themes only, not including Sempress.

  According to that page, Sempress does have featured header capacity.

  Even if it doesn’t, are you saying that the featured image on a page created within a theme with featured headers becomes a featured header?

  I’ve done my due diligence and I’m finding this whole featured header thing very confusing, which rarely happens to me on WP.com. I think WP.com support needs to look into this featured header situation.

  That feature filter is misleading, as it lumps together two different options: themes on which a featured image replaces the regular header image, and themes on which a featured image simply shows above the title of a post or static page.

  If you want a theme that allows you to display a different header image when you view a single post or a static page, you can use Adventure Journal, Book Lite, Chateau, Coraline, Panel, Pilcrow, Splendio, Twenty Eleven, Twenty Ten or Yoko.

  If SemPress is not included in the list of featured headers, then that option needs to be removed from the theme in the search feature.

  And the confuse is, indeed, very confusing!

  Hopefully WP.com support will look into this.
