It’s hard to know how to help when we cannot see the blog and theme you are using. On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/ The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/introduction/When creating a post or page on your WordPress.com blog, you have two editing modes available to you, depending on which you are most comfortable with.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/#visual-editor
http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/#html-editorWe select themes here > Appearance > Themes
There’s a Themes Showcase that provides theme descriptions and live demo sites for themes. There’s also a serchbox that has feature filters. In order to help you with specific issues we need more information.

Thanks for the reply. I am having a lot of probs with my net connection also, this is probably why its driving me nuts. I am online with verizon right now. Intermittent connectivity is to blame so I will try again when this is dealt with. I did make a post and upload a picture but now I cant locate them either. mike

Good morning, timethief; Codex10168 here, struggling WP user.
Like empydee, I have nothing but trouble trying to use WP, despite the fact that I paid $99 for…something. I followed the http://learn.wordpress.com/ link referred to above and watched the video. I find it incomprehensible, mainly because of the bizarre choice of narrator for this material.
Sounds like Scottish Highlands to me, although I’m certainly not an expert in placing UK accents. Is this material not intended for the American English-speaking audience?
I’m a professional educator by trade, and I think it’s fair to say that it is common knowledge in that field that narration for any piece of instruction, recorded or live, should be transparent–the metaphor is that through the transparency of the narrator (or instructor or whatever the delivery mechanism is), the content is exposed.
What you have at http://learn.wordpress.com/ is a video that is equivalent to trying to read something through shower-door glass. The narrator unusual accent interferes with the content.
It’s a pretty amateurish error that doesn’t reflect very well on the organization; it’s the sort of thing that makes me not want to ever click on another WP video. I suppose it’s conceivable that WP imagines itself to have some Scottish heritage, and using this narrator is an attempt to preserve some of it. I don’t think it has any, but who knows?
It’s just one more thing about WP that makes me…not want to use it.
Thanks…Codex10168

I did make a post and upload a picture but now I cant locate them either.
You ought to be able to locate your post > dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Drafts
If you can’t then this will help > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/03/21/wordpress-recovering-a-lost-blog-post-or-page/
All media you upload is found in your Media Library > Dashboard > Media > Media Library http://en.support.wordpress.com/media/(1) How you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.
(2) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

Not referring to a video?
http://learn.wordpress.com contains a button, “Get Started Here.” You press that button, it goes to a page “Get Started with WordPress,” and a bit below: “For those inclined, here’s a 90-second video walkthrough.”
That’s the video I’m referring to.
