Cant access admin account due to domain change

    Hi there,

I have recently redirected a website’s domain (not this account) from wordpress to shopify via c-panel. This process included changing the C-Name and A-Record to shopify.

Unfortunately, I am no longer able to access the old wordpress admin account as the domain has changed (I have had to make a new admin account to get help). The old admin account was posturefit.com.au/wp-admin

This domain (www.posturefit.com.au) is now being used for another website, but I still need to access the old admin page. Are you able to let me know how I login to this account? Does the WP page revert back to the default URL once the domain has been redirected?

    Thanks,

    Dan

    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, you’re posting to the community support forums for free sites hosted with WordPress.com the hosting provider.

If your domain was previously hosted here, you’d still be able to access the underlying WordPress.com site (yoursite.wordpress.com) even after you changed your DNS to point elsewhere, or transferred your domain to a new registrar somewhere else. But to access that wordpress.com website, you do need to be logged in with the correct account.

In case it isn’t this account you are posting with if you don’t remember the log in credentials, you can try the account recovery form on this page https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

Again, this information is only relevant if your domain was used with a wordpress.com website. https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
