Can't access dashboard

I am getting a lot of new user registrations and I don’t think they are genuine. I am getting more new registrations than page views and this seems that it should be impossible. I can’t access my dashboard to edit my site and can’t get details via the WordPress site page. As a first step, the simplest thing seems to be disabling user registrations and allowing access to restricted/member pages to everyone as I decide how to resolve the problem. This is becoming an urgent issue for me as I can’t administer my site at what is a critical time for me. Thank you in anticipation of your help. John

It looks like you are working with a self-hosted WordPress.org site instead of the WordPress.com-hosted version supported here.

The forums are completely separate from each other, so you will need to register an account there if you haven’t done so already.
