Can\'t access dashboard of my blog
-
I found an old blog of mine but I can’t see to access the dashboard. I keep getting notifications about approving comments but when I log in I get the following error message: ”User malenekirstineolesen Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested
You are logged in as ”malenekirstineolesen” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for ”Malene Kirstine Olesen”. If you are not ”malenekirstineolesen”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are ”malenekirstineolesen” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.”
I wish to delete my blog but can’t get anywhere right now. Can anybody please help?
-
I suggest that you log out of the account you are using, and then try to log in again, this time using the email address you are receiving emails at, as the ‘username’. If your password doesn’t work, just click on Forgot Password, and then change it using the link in the email sent to you, since you seem to have the right email.
-
Is that the username under which you registered the blog, or did you create the blog from a different username? Did you change the URL of the blog at any time?
-
I have reset my password and attempted to login with my e-mail but it still doesn’t work. I can access my profile and personal settings when I log in but that’s it. I can see under my personal settings that the name of my website is: http://makeuptest.wordpress.com so I guess I have changed it at some point. Could that be the issue?

I’ve flagged this for staff attention. They’re the only ones who can sort through an assortment of usernames and blogs with changed names to see who created which blogs. Just wait for their response.

Hello!
The site “makeuptest.wordpress.com” was deleted by you back in February 2011. Was there another blog you were trying to access?
If that was the site you were trying to access, we’re unable to restore it as deleted blogs cannot be restored or reused. Deleting a blog is permanent and the name cannot be used again. There are several warnings about this on the Tools -> Delete Site page and in the help pages, and you are required to confirm the deletion by email.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/You can start a new blog by logging in to WordPress.com and then going to http://en.wordpress.com/signup/
With any blog, you can also use your custom domain with Domain Mapping upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
I hope that clarifies things!

Hi
I was trying to access malenekirstine.wordpress.com. Basically I just want to have it deleted so if you could do that for me that would be great :) -
Unfortunately, that site was set up under a different username than “malenekirstineolesen” and I’m unable to help without confirmation from the site owner user account.
To recover your user account, if you still have access to the email connected to that account, you can enter that email address in the password recovery tool. Please check your spam folder for the recovery email if you don’t receive it in your Inbox immediately:
https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpasswordIf that doesn’t work, in order to regain access to a WordPress.com account, we’ll need one of the following things:
* An email from the email address on file for the account
http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/* The API key associated with the account. Please see this link for more information on API keys:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/api-keys/* A Paypal Transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account. Keep in mind that since PayPal is our sole payment processor behind-the-scenes, this transaction ID was generated even if you paid via credit card or another method.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal-transaction-id/* One or two title(s) of any unpublished draft posts or pages
Finally, please make sure you have tried testing different passwords in the login area at the top of WordPress.com. Often people can remember the password after a few tries.
I hope that clarifies things!

Hi,
I don’t know why, but I am an invisible man in both my native language Turkish and English support forums. When I log out, I can’t see my comments anymore on the forum pages. Here is an example screenshot: http://hakanertr.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/exmpl.png and its link: http://tr.forums.wordpress.com/topic/yazilarda-ozet-metin-goruntulenmiyor
In addition, I tried to start start a new thread about this problem but I could not : https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/my-comments-are-invisible

@hakanertr – your most recent comments were being marked as spam due to a large number of similar comments directing people to the Spanish support forums. I have fixed that for you now and your new thread is now open.
-
Thank you csonnek. I do not know what caused this problem, but am having this problem for more than two days.
-
And again, I (and I guess others) can’t see my comments. What exactly is causing this problem? I do not remember doing any changes in my settings.
-
Please respond in your own thread:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/my-comments-are-invisibleThank you.

I’m sorry but that doesn’t help me at all. I created the blog a long time ago while I was at the University and I possibly created the account with my University e-mail which I no longer have access to. Is there no other way I can prove my identity to you?
-
If you do not have access to your account email address, we will accept one of the following alternative account verification options:
* The API key associated with the account. Please see this link for more information on API keys:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/api-keys/* A Paypal Transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account. Keep in mind that since PayPal is our sole payment processor behind-the-scenes, this transaction ID was generated even if you paid via credit card or another method:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal-transaction-id/* The titles of any unpublished draft posts or pages you may have
If none of this information is available, let me know and we can set this site to private.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
-
My site was created before 2011 so I don’t have the API key and as I told you I don’t have access to my old e-mail address. I haven’t use Paypal for my site and as far as I can remember I have no unpublished drafts/posts. What if I gave you two e-mail addresses which could possibly have been used for setting up the site?
