can’t access Jetpack site

  • Unknown's avatar

This morning I signed onto my dashboard and hit to update all the plugins and jetpack. I also received an email from Vaultpress that said I needed to deactivate from my dashboard. It also recommended I disable jetpack.

I did all these things and now cannot access in any way my blog dashboard on WordPress (FrTomTirman.com) The site does not want to recognize any of my passwords and for a few hours this morning it says it was under maintenance.

I have NEVER had trouble with the site before. I need help and am unsure how to resolve this. Any ideas?

  • Hi! I’ve split your comment into a new forum thread. This way the original poster won’t get unwanted notifications, and staff will be able to focus on your account.

First, you won’t be able to access that site through WordPress.com for a few reasons:

    – It is not hosted here

    – While it is connected to Jetpack, that was done through a different WordPress.com account

    – The site has a “critical error” right now that is preventing Jetpack access, too. Here’s what I see:

“Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version “>= 7.2.5″.
There has been a critical error on this website.”

Can you bring this up with your host? They may be able to back up the site and make a PHP update for you. And that may well resolve the issue.

Going forward, for help with thee free WordPress software itself, you’ll also want to use the correct forums for self-managed installations, at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

These forums are actually for the sites hosted by WordPress.com, so you’ll find more relevant answers by searching those forums. Or you’d be more than welcome to move the site here so we can manage it for you and provide direct support (paid plans don’t need to use these forums)

    Cheers!
