Can't access my blog directly

I’m having trouble accessing my new blog. The older one … thehappypianoprofessor … comes up in a flash, even without the wordpress.com …. but the gleefulguru address doesn’t work at all. I have to access through my happypianoprofessor ….

Wow … that’s fast. Yes, this is the message I get. How do I register, I thought I already did when I set it up? Is there another procedure or did I skip a step?

While logged into your account, go to http://wordpress.com/signup/ and you can sign up to have it on the same account as your existing blog.

I tried this. But my Gleefulguru is already claimed ….. by me about a week ago. It appears as one of my two blogs on my account. I access it by pulling down my account on the HappyPianoprofessor. It’s right there. I even got the welcome screen and hints to writing as soon as I signed up and chose a template. Everything seems to be working normally except that ….. it doesn’t exist outside my account.

I’m perplexed. The two blogs appear in my account and are both listed under my name. I wonder if there’s a glitch somewhere because I couldn’t download an image tonight from my files …. I’ve never had problems betore. I have both my customized header and avatar downloaded yesterday without problems.
I can’t even re-register because my blog name is taken ( by me …. it cleared nicely when I signed up for this blog about ten days ago) . I’ve not been able to sign in directly from the beginning, But everything else popped up just as for my first blog.
I really want to keep my blog name because it’s already on a lot of stuff I’ve written.

But the ” URL does not exist” message still comes up when I try to access. I also cannot add any media files …

I don’t see anything wrong with http://thegleefulguru.wordpress.com/ (note the added “the”)
Can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies?

I’ve cleared the cache and cookies … following the link you supplied. Nothing. Then I switched computers …. nothing. I did get one connection with Firefox on the second computer …. but couldn’t replicate it with my main computer. That one allowed me to upload a graphic.
Now back at my regular computer and can’t get it with Firefox or Internet Explorer.
What I can’t understand is that my link which you put in your letter works perfectly.
Thanks so much for your suggestions. I’ve been at this all afternoon. Thinking about just starting another blog as “AGleefulGuru” …. but don’t want to foul up TWO names in case there’s something really wrong with my setup.
If this continues I’ll be the Grouchy Guru and be prepared for a curmudgeonly approach. ; )

You must have cast a spell over this site. Because for the first time, it works. And not only can I access it directly, it even accepts the media upload it rejected so totally yesterday.
Thank you SO very much! Once again I’m delighted with another one of the host of “cyber angels” who offer so much help and information online. I love you all!
I’ve been particularly careful all along about the “THE” … even when I set it up I debated about including a “The” or an “A” or leaving it as “Gleeful Guru”. So that wasn’t the problem. I have switched browsers back and forth, sworn like a sailor on leave and finally quit and practiced some Schumann for an hour to restore my equilibrium. So am now quite gleeful again. And preparing to dig into this project which has been kicking my butt for a couple of years.

In your posts here you were not including the “the” which is why I posted what I did just above yours.
The important thing is it is now working for you.

You’re quite right,. I left a space between the THE” on my first post …. which was confusing And in my second left it off completely. Sorry …. that made the confusion even worse.
I suspect it was my browser since I couldn’t upload media even when i was on the site.
