Can't access my domain
-
My domain – changepartnership.org – is hosted by WordPress and registered with Wild West Llc. It is inactive because the domain payment hasn’t been made. I have no way of accessing the account to make this payment. The result is that the website is down and all of my emails too. I have no records with ID numbers to open the correct account even though I am the founder and owner of the company that this website and email relates to. It was set up by a colleauge whose email address has been closed.
How can I pay the changepartnership.org invoice and have access to my email and website please. I contacted Wild West Llc and GoDaddy both of whom said they could not do anything about the payment becuase the account was managed by wordpress.
Any help you can send to (email visible only to moderators and staff) as the work email which is registered with this account is not working.
Many thanks
Sanjeev Kumar

Checking to see if anyone is able to help with my problem. My domain – changepartnership.org – has been down since last Friday and I don’t get a response.

Hi there,
That domain expired on 7 January and has already been removed from our system and is currently in redemption with our registrar. It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. I’ll need you to agree to that fee before I can get the recovery process started.
Please also change the email address on your account to one that is active, as we can only communicate with the email address appearing in your account settings regarding this:
https://wordpress.com/me/account/
I have no way of accessing the account to make this payment.
You would not be able to post here if you were not logged into the account already. You cannot pay because the domain is not on our system any more and needs to be recovered manually as I explained above.

Dear Kokkeih
I have changed the email. Please recover the domain. How do I pay the 80 dollars?
Looking forward to finally sorting this out.
Best wishes, Sanjeev

Just to confirm that the email address has been changed. Also, how long does the recovery process take?
-
Thanks for updating the email address. I’ve sent a payment link to pay for the domain’s recovery to the new address. Once we receive payment I can contact our registrar to restore the domain.
Usually restoring the domain takes about two days, but if I request it today the domain might only be restored by Tuesday, depending on how big the backlog is at our registrar after the weekend.
-
Thanks Kokkieh
Waiting for your email with the link to pay to arrive. Will let you know as soon as I have made the payment.
Best wishes, Sanjeev

We’ve just received your payment and I’ve emailed our registrar to ask them to restore it. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear from them.

Your domain has been restored. It looks like it was previously attached to the site, testlulu1985.wordpress.com, so I’ve reattached it there, but let me know if you want it attached to a different site in your account.
You’ll also need to add the correct name servers again for the hosting provider for your site before the domain will work. Let me know if you need any help with that.
Lastly, after adding back the domain I can see that it didn’t renew because the card we have on file for you is expired. You can add a new card to the upgrade via the Purchases page:

Thanks Kokkieh
The site is still not working. See http://www.changepartnership.org/ and who.is is showing the site is still inactive although the pending deletion has been removed. See https://who.is/whois/changepartnership.org
What do I need to do now?
-
Finally, I will change back to domain emails when they start working again. At present, they are still not working.
-
Also, please do walk me through the the process to correct name servers again for the hosting provider for my site for the domain will work.
I would prefer not linking the site to testlulu1985.wordpress.com. How can this be done?
-
Hi Kokkieh
My server provider said that the delegation information (name servers) have not been associated to my domain which explains why it is not activated in the DNS and will not resolve.
Can you please point the changepartnership.org domain to the following nameservers
ns1.web6.sd.eurovps.com
ns2.web6.sd.eurovps.comThanks, Sanjeev
-
I’ve updated those name servers for you. They can take up to 72 hours to propagate, but usually it’s much faster so your site and your email should be back online in a few hours.
I would prefer not linking the site to testlulu1985.wordpress.com. How can this be done?
That is just the WordPress.com address to which the domain is linked in your account to allow you to manage it. Your domain won’t show that site once the name servers finish updating.

Thanks for all your help Kokkieh
Emails and website are working well!!! What is the EPP code for domain please?
Best wishes, Sanjeev

To transfer the domain you need to go to My Site ->domains and request the code there. That will also unlock the domain for transfer. You can find full instructions here:
