im trying to change me name server on my domain that is no longer with wordpress.com

the domain is hosted on bluehost and the name server is pointed at the old wordpress.com site. i cant find travulla.com on my wordpress account.

yeah its definitly not there. the the domain is registered with wildwest domains, and wordpress is the reseller

is it possible to restore the domain travulla.com on wordpress.com so that i can change the name server pointed at travulla.com to the name server I need that is hosted at bluehost.

Hi there,
You are not seeing the domain, travulla.com, in your account, because you cancelled that domain on 24 August. You no longer own that domain, so you won’t be able to make any changes to it, or to use it at all.
I can still try to get the domain back from our domain provider for you, but I also see the domain expired on 22 August, so you’ll need to renew it as soon as it’s restored if you want to keep on using it. Please reply here to confirm if I should try to recover the domain for you.

I have transferred the domain to Bluehost. I do still own it but the name server is pointing to wordpress.com

You have not transferred that domain, and you no longer own it, as you have cancelled it.
The Whois data still shows your information because currently the domain is in a post-cancellation grace period with our registrar. But the domain will enter redemption within a few days, at which point that Whois information will be deleted, and there will be an additional fee to get the domain back.
So again, please confirm if I should attempt to recover the domain for you. The longer we wait to do this, the more it will cost to get it back, and the greater the risk that you’ll lose it entirely.

I think I understand now, so what do I need to do? also once the domain is recovered will I be able to transfer it to my new host?

I have emailed our registrar to restore the domain. I’ll let you know once they reply.
Once the domain is restored you should be able to transfer it out if you want to, but it might also be transfer locked at that point. I’ll only know that once the domain is back on our system.

Okay, our registrar has restored your domain. As you’d deleted the site it was originally connected to, I connected it to travulla.wordpress.com instead so you can still access its settings.
The domain is now transfer locked, but I’ve emailed our registrar to ask if that lock can be removed. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

I just wanted to let you know that your domain is now unlocked, so if you want to transfer it you will now be able to.
After requesting the transfer code from us, please make sure to give that to your new domain provider, or the transfer won’t take place.
