Can’t access my old website
-
I can no longer access my old design portfolio I created in 2018 on a separate WordPress account, I have tried emailing myself on the contact details on the front side of the website but I cannot get the email on neither of my email addresses. I thought I had changed my email address on it to connect with my sky email address but nothing is coming through neither is it with my email address for this account. I reckon the account is still connected to the old email account from my old university I no longer have access to. The last time I would have accessed the site was back in the Summer of 2018.

Hi scottyjuly2295,
What is the address of the site you are having trouble logging in to?
If it is hosted on WordPress.com and you no longer have access to the account email address, please fill out the account recovery form here:
If it uses WordPress.org software with another host, please contact them or post to the WordPress.org support forums for advice.
I can check where the site is hosted if you aren’t sure.

What is your site’s address? If we have that, we should be able to tell you where the site is hosted.

I was trying to get into WordPress.org to get access to their forum to get support if its hosted on there but I can’t get access to it as its not recognising any of my email addresses, one which the site could still be connected to but I thought I had changed I can no longer access as It’s a past university email address.
the website is: https://scottfraserdesign.wordpress.com
email address I thought I had changed it to is: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
the old one is: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
my one for here is: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

https://scottfraserdesign.wordpress.com is hosted on WordPress.com, but it does not belong to the WordPress.com username account you’re using to post here in the forums.
We cannot provide any information to you regarding the email address attached to the account that owns that site. If you don’t remember the correct login details for that site, the only way to regain access is to verify your ownership of the account via our account recovery process:
-
-
I cannot provide the proof of ownership because they have been sent to my old university email address before I changed the email address I wanted it to be connected to last year, I no longer have access to my old university address.
I can give proof of ID and scan in my provisional driving license, I can give you the email addresses connected to the accounts, I have an email address sent to the one I thought I had changed it to as well.
I need access to the site so I can modify it for my MA online portfolio assignment, instead of creating a whole new website from scratch. I needed it as a template.

We did not ask for your ID when you created the account, so we have nothing to verify that against should you provided. So that cannot be used as verification of ownership of a WordPress.com account.
I understand that you need access, but we cannot give access to any WordPress.com to anyone but the verified owner of that account. We have there measures in place to prevent unauthorised access to accounts, and we cannot make any exceptions.
I suggest you contact your university and ask them to temporarily reactivate the old address so you can try and use that to reset the password. Beyond that, there’s nothing else we can do.

@scottyjuly2295 if you can regain access to the email, that would be perfect.
Have you tried checking each of the addresses you listed earlier?
-
So its worked with the Dundee university email to retrieve a new password but thats as far as I can go, since I graduated in 2017 and its now 2019 I doubt the university have my account still on their server so I’m, thinking the data with that account which will include the other details I will need to prove its my site will have been wiped.

The University one is not going to work I do have an email that got sent to my sky email address the one I was changing it to or thought I had confirmed the change but when I tried the sky one it says there is no site linked to it. I want to be able to provide screenshot of it.

Sorry, to clarify, can you check that email address for a private email we sent you several minutes ago?
