Can’t access my old WordPress site to transfer it to my new site on Squarespace
-
I’ve had a WordPress site here for years. A few months ago I created a website on Squarespace for work. We transferred the WordPress domain name over to Squarespace. But, I still need to access my content on my WordPress site to transfer it over there. I can’t seem to find it anymore. Can someone help me find my WordPress site so I can transfer my content to my new site? I would be SO grateful.

Hey there,
Do you remember the account name you signed up with? It would typically be that ____.wordpress.com .
Try a few account names that you may have signed up with in the past or check your e-mail from when you first signed up with WordPress.com it would usually send you a welcome e-mail including your username.Hope that helps!

Hello!
To avoid any confusion, there are three distinct versions of “WordPress” that you should know about:
- The first one is the free and open-source WordPress software that powers your website.
- The second version is WordPress.org, which is the open-source project responsible for developing the WordPress software. You can obtain the software for free from this website and use it with your own hosting provider.
- The third version is WordPress.com, which is a managed hosting provider that offers the WordPress software. You are currently contacting the support team at WordPress.com.
To assist you properly, could you please provide us with the URL of your WordPress site? Once we have this information, we will be able to give you appropriate advice or direct you to the right resources for help.
Thank you!
