Can’t access my URL
-
When I try to access my blog/website (http://mydavidmatthews.com) my browser (Safari and Firefox) won’t open the page saying it can’t access the server “mydavidmatthews.com.” Everything was fine a few days ago and I haven’t messed with it since then.
Any ideas?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your site does not appear to be hosted on WordPress.COM
Since you can’t find the server I suggest you contact your host.

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.COM, this site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/

Yes. First of all are you reffering to a free blog being free hosted by wordpress.COM and have you pid wordpress.COm for a domain mapping upgrade? In other words, who is your blog’s web host?

Thank you for your responses. I am referring to the free blog being hosted by wordpress.COM. I paid for a domain mapping upgrade.
Is wordpress.COM not my host!?

You do have a domain mapping upgrade, but your nameservers are not pointed to WordPress.com: http://whois.domaintools.com/mydavidmatthews.com
You’ll have to change them with your domain registrar to the following nameservers:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM -
Okay, I updated the name servers with my domain registrar, Dynamod. I guess it takes some time before it will take effect.
Thanks for your help! I originally put in the correct nameservers when I started my website and never changed them. I’m curious as to why this happened.
Best,
Dave

You’re welcome!
It’ll take up to 72 hours, though usually much less, for the nameserver changes to propagate to your ISP.

He already said he bought a mapping upgrade…
Oh Okay I skimmed the thread when I was reading it because I was getting ready to head out the house to pick up my wife….
