Can't access my website

  • Unknown's avatar

When I try to access my website, I get a time out. This just happened 3/16/2020. I was able to access my website prior to this. I don’t know what happened.
    My mapped website is myncpca.org
Request assistance to know why this happened and how to resolve this problem.

  • Hi Carol,

your domain is now pointing to a GoDaddy site so, if that was your plan, you’ll want to reach out directly to GoDaddy to see what’s going on with the site.

If you want the domain to load your WordPress.com site, you’ll want to change the nameservers on that domain. For that, go to you GoDaddy’s dashboard and change the current nameservers to:

        ns1.wordpress.com
        ns2.wordpress.com
        ns3.wordpress.com

You can also ask their support team to help you with it.
    More information:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

After the nameservers have been changed, the domain should work correctly.

How did this happen??? I NEVER did anything to effect the change. Apparently someone went ahead and made the change without any notice. Very frustrating!!!

  • The name servers can only be changed through the domain registrar, so I recommend making sure that your account with them is secure.
