Have an existing blog but haven’t posted in 5 or so years. Want to resurrect it, but my original log in credentials won’t work.

If you still have access to the email connected to the account that owns that blog, you can enter that email address in the password recovery form:
https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If that doesn’t work, in order to regain access to a WordPress.com account, we’ll need one of the following things:
* A transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/
* The WordPress.com account activation link, which we sent to your email address when you first registered with us.
