Can’t access old site
-
I have an old profile with I think 2 sites on it? and I can not for the life of me figure out what email or profile it’s under. I likely deleted the email address all together. How on earth do I go about accessing my account?

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Can you remember the names of the sites created on the account?
This would help to track down that account.
Many thanks in advance.

There are three I can’t access:
naturalchelsea.wordpress.com (this one and river rock I need to access most, as my licensing board may request that I need to remove it completely to abide by my resigning my license!).
And
https://artfullychelseablog.wordpress.com/category/written-word/
I think they’re all on the same account because I can’t seem to access any of them, but in able to access two versions of my artfully blog via this login 🤷♀️

Hello there,
Many thanks for that additional information.
In cases like this, ideally you would need to go down the account recovery route as described here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
If a purchase was made with WordPress.com, then a transaction ID, which would be present on the statement of the card used can be used as proof of ownership.
I hope this helps.

Hi!
I tried looking up PayPal transactions and it won’t even go back that far. It could have been anywhere from 2014-2016 when I made those sites – would likely have been on one account I’m guessing – with that one email.
I know I had paid for upgrades and then went to WordPress.org 3 or 4 times for different versions of other sites – it would basically be impossible for me to find it. I don’t even have credit card statements that go back that far.
Can you advise me on next steps please. I don’t think my board would accept “I couldn’t access it” as an excuse if it’s all my information up.

Hi there,
Don’t just look at your PayPal transactions. Check your credit cards as well. You need to find a charge that contains the term WORDPRESS in it. Then you can send that transaction ID to our Account Recovery team using the form linked below.
