Can’t Access Original Account

  I clicked the ‘reset password’ button on my WordPress blog site, only to realize that the original email address I used to set up the account is deactivated and I cannot get to it. Now, I can’t get into that email account to reset the password but the password has been reset and I can’t log into my account at all. Am I just now forever locked out of my account or is there some way I can get to someone who can help with account access?

  If you don’t have the original email used to set up the account, you can use the following information to gain access:

  – A transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/

  – The account activation link which we sent to your email when you first registered.

  You can use this information in the account recovery form:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
