Can’t access site

I created a wordpress site as an augment to a vacation rental listing. I created it six years ago and seldom actually sign on to make changes. Now, I got a comment on the site that I want to respond to, but the user name and password I had written down originally isn’t working and WordPress is asking for some type of codes that I’ve long since deleted in order to recover the account. Any thoughts about this? If I can’t access it, I want it deleted.

Since you don’t remember the password you used to access this site, you can reset it by using our password reset tool:

I HAVE the user name and password I used for the account. They simply don’t work. Any I can’t reset the password because I get a message saying no account is registered to that email. I signed onto this forum via Google/gmail.

I just tried the password reset link again and it allowed me to reset it via my email address, but then it told me I didn’t have any WordPress sites created, so I still can’t go to my site and make changes, etc.

It looks like you reset the password of this account, gbraccimac, and this account does not own any sites.
To access https://pondvacation.wordpress.com/ you need to log out of this account completely – clear your browser cookies to make sure – and then you need to reset the password for the account that owns that site, username boestonington
For security reasons I cannot tell you what email address is connected to that account, but I can tell you it’s not the Gmail address you used to create this account you’re using to post in the forums. I don’t see any password reset attempts on the other account.
