Can’t access site

    When I try to log in I get the following. What do I need to do to solve this?
    ‘Something unexpected happened while accessing this website. It looks like it doesn’t have an active domain connection upgrade to link the requested domain name to the WordPress.com site.

    If this is your domain name and it has recently stopped working, it’s possible that your plan or domain may have expired. Please log in to your WordPress.com account and review the status of your plan and domain.’

    Correct account: Yes

    It sounds like you be logging into to a self-hosted site, that is connected to WordPress.com via Jetpack.

    I have paid the chargeback but have no idea who would have cancelled the domain.

    I wish to continue using the site and domain name as it is for the Phillip Island Bowling Club and we depend on it for getting information to our members.

    Could you please reinstate the domain name and advise me of any further steps I have to continue using the site.

    Hi there!

    I see that you used to own the domain on a different WordPress.com account. Due to security reasons, you must contact us from that email address so that we can restore the domain for you.

    I’ve just sent an email to the email address you used on the other account. Please check all of your known email addresses and reply to the email/follow the instructions there. We have a limited window to restore the domain before it goes into redemption (where it’ll cost $80 extra to redeem the domain), so please check for our email and respond as soon as possible.

    If you’re unable to locate our email, please locate the transaction ID for previous payments made to WordPress.com (not the most recent payment for the chargeback fees). You can locate the transaction ID on your credit card statement: https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#on-your-credit-card-statement

    Once you’ve located it, please send it to us using the account recovery form here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form

    Do not post the transaction ID on this forum. We’ll get back to you after you’ve submitted the transaction ID via the account recovery form.

    Thanks for the info.

    The account was paid by one of our club members probably using the email address “(email visible only to moderators and staff)”. As he no longer a website administrator and couldn’t remember what the bill was for and cancelled the payment. We need all correspondence for this account to be sent to “(email visible only to moderators and staff)” so that the club is responsible for the account and not individuals.

    I am still having issues.
    I can login to the free site https://wordpress.com/home/phillipislandbowlsclub.wordpress.com. but not to the
    phillipislandbowlsclub.com which is used by our members.
    I have a valid receipt from the previous administrator Receipt ID: [redacted by staff]
    Transaction ID: [redacted by staff] but the recover account process tells me they ore invalid.
    All I want to do is pay the outstanding account so we can get this account back on line.
    Is this to hard to achieve.
    Please send me the account so I can pay it.

    Can advise me of the process to get the current owner to transfer the ownership to the Phillip Island Bowling Club
