can't access the site redirect upgrade

I have recently moved to a self hosted WordPress site, and want to set up a redirect from my old WordPress.com site. However, I am unable to access the SITE REDIRECT upgrade. I have tried going via the STORE on WP ADMIN, and I just get a pulsing dot in the window header (i.e. ‘thinking’, but not doing anything). I have tried going via the WordPress support page, which links me to here:
https://wordpress.com/domains/add/site-redirect
I get the same problem — a pulsing dot in the window header, but no action (I have tried leaving it to run for several minutes, nothing happens).
I had thought the site might be down over the holidays when I first tried to purchase the site redirect upgrade, so waited a few days and tried again today — still the same result.
Hope you can help. I’m using Safari browser. -
What is the URL of the wordpress.COM blog?
If you deleted it then no site redirect is possible. -
The wordpress.com site is NOT deleted (I plan to keep it active through 2016 so that people landing there will redirect to my new site). It’s at http://tracyfarrauthor.wordpress.com, which is set to redirect to the primary domain at http://tracyfarrauthor.net (domain name upgrade purchased from WordPress.com).
Perhaps that’s part of the problem — that tracyfarrauthor.wordpress.com is already redirecting to tracyfarrauthor.net?
(Note: tracyfarrauthor.net is wordpress.COM site, not my new site) -

I don’t think this is related to your site but is a larger WordPress problem. I cannot access the WordPress “store” either.

Hi @supernovia, I’ve just tried it and the store now seems to be working for me — I got through and was able to purchase Site redirect upgrade, and it’s working for me. I guess it was just a storewide glitch. I guess this is resolved now. Thanks for checking in.
