It’s a private blog. Are you sure that the blog administrator has added you to the list of users with access?
-
Thanks guys. Yeah I guess I’m not on his list. Anyone know how I can? Not sure how to reach him.
-
-
yes – It seems to have just recently been made private (today?). I too would like to join.
-
I’d like also to find out how to join – or if perhaps this blog was suddenly closed for some reason. Thanks.

We can’t help you. If the blog owner doesn’t give you the invitation, you won’t be able to see the blog. And we don’t have his contact information.

That’s terrible! Without “You are what you hear” my life will be empty.
I was once “on the list” but I change a computer. now I can’t use my old user/password.HELP

If you don’t have the contact information for the blog owner, there is nothing you can do. If you have your username and password, it should work UNLESS the owner has left you off the invitation list. And usually when people take blogs private there’s a reason.

In case anyone is wondering, I just checked and found that the blog in question is online once again. Thanks to raincoaster for his/her kind help.

You’re more than welcome. I was perfectly prepared to come here and give a tough love lecture to some fans. Glad it worked out for you; sometimes people take things offline for a short period but open it up later.

There was more than a hint of sarcasm in my last two posts. However, I would say in all seriousness to raincoaster and vivianpaige that I detected an element of snideness and condescension in your posted comments that I would consider unnecessary.
When several people post the same query, as happened in this thread, I would venture that it’s unlikely that they’re all stupid or that they’re all ignoring you. In my case, I wanted to add my voice to those who had already posted, in order to emphasize the fact that there are many people who enjoy this particular blog (“You Are What You Hear”) and were concerned about what had happened to it.
I assumed that this bulletin board, like most others I have encountered on numerous Web sites, was one in which people are welcome to participate freely – not, as I see now is apparently the case, one where one person asks a question, a moderator makes a definitive (and brusque) pronouncement in response, and that’s expected to be the end of the thread.
I figured that maybe the blog’s creator might have been reading this board, and if he/she saw an outpouring of support, he/she might have been more likely to revive the blog. Anyway, it’s all moot now. I just wanted to speak up and say that I think raincoaster and vivianpaige might perhaps consider being a bit more empathetic and courteous in future interactions.

We might. But then again, we might feel that the condescension and snideness that you detect was more of a projection than a reality.
