Can't access website and all content has disappeared
-
The boomark I set up for going straight to my WordPress login for https://ukulele.london has stopped working and I am informed that the site cannot be reached. I’ve managed login to WordPress another way, but the content I was working on over the last dew months, and had saved every time, now seems to have completely disappeared. Also, when I try to view my website from WordPress I get the same info telling me that the site cannot be reached; this has been the same for several days. My website host is 1and 1, but it is showing as ‘active’ and there are no problems apparent. I have made no changes at all to anything since I last logged into WordPress to edit my website or made and changes to my 1and hosting account. Any ideas what has happened?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

http://ukulele.london/ does not look like a complete URL to me. I think there is an extension that is missing.
Example 1 : https://wordpress.COM
Eaxmple 2: https://wordpress.ORGMy website host is 1and 1
Then you are posting to the wrong support forum.
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

Dear timethief
Thank you so much for a very considered reply.
I can assure you that http://ukulele.london is a correct and genuine address as it’s one of the new ones that were offered about two years ago (well, in the UK). It is not missing any other extensions and that is the full URL.
I have been using this URL since I set it up and have always been able to access it without any problems at all over the last two years in WordPress, yes I do have a WordPress account, and have always been able to access it by typing http://ukulele.london into any internet browser.
Essentially, what I’m saying is I’ve had my website set up and working for some time (not published, but as a draft in WordPress), but it has now disappeared and I cannot access it from my WordPress account (the pages and blogs are just not there anymore) and when I try to preview my website from WordPress it is telling me that that URL cannot be found. The URL still appears in WordPress, but it cannot be accessed.
This URL is registered with 1and1, but is hosted by SiteGround, again there are no problems apparent there and my account is active.
The main change that I can see is that the content of my website I was working on has disappeared from the WordPress editor. One day it was there and the next day it had gone. I have done nothing to affect this.
I’m an experienced WordPress user and have other websites that I edit via Worpress and have been running without any problems for several years.
Regards,
Mark

Hi @markembleton,
These are the forums for sites hosted here with WordPress.com . Your site is at 1and1, so typically you would want to use the forums for self-hosted installations at https://wordpress.org/support for WordPress questions, unless you’re using the Calypso interface here and have a question about that.
That said, this seems to be more of a problem with the domain. While .london is indeed a valid TLD, your domain’s DNS is not responding properly. This could be a problem with your host or with your domain at the registrar. I’d get in touch with both your host and your registrar. Good luck!
