Can’t access WP site restored from remote UpdraftPlus
-
Hello WordPress Support,
I created a backup of a site back in october externally stored in my google drive. That backup had some things we want to get out of it (private blog article) but we didn’t want to mess up the current site. We have a second wordpress where I installed UpdraftPlus and restored the backup which mostly worked. the problem is that the Users from before the backup aren’t allowed to access the site, and the user objects within the backup exist, but we don’t have the credentials for them anymore.
I can update the password at wordpress.com/home/, but that list of users seems to be different from the ones at /wp-admin, because I can’t login even after updating my password.
there’s a forgot password button on /wp-admin, but the link goes into the site, where that page doesn’t exist.
In my site, it looks like Jetpack is disconnected, and I can’t access anything until I reconnect it, but to do so, I need to login at /wp-admin, and I can no longer do that.
So I essentially need to reconnect my Jetpack, so I can get to my private blog post.
I’ve also tried Adding a new user to the site, which allows me to send an invite email, but I can’t accept it due to jetpack error.
I think I need someone to backdoor into the site if that possible.
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hey there,
I was able to successfully reset the user roles and add a new user to the site which allowed me to reconnect Jetpack successfully. You should now be able to access your site as expected. Please let us know if you run into any additional issues with your site import.
Hope this helps!
