Can't achieve my preferred page.
-
Hi.
Several questions.1.
I selected https://shoreditchdemo.wordpress.com/ for the theme for https://scenttraveler.wordpress.com/ but the appearance doesn’t look like the home page of shoreditch. How to achieve full width?2. Why there are two functions to create and edit pages and posts. one in blue and another in black WPAdmin? What I need to know the differences to best use?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
1. The setup instructions for Shoreditch are at https://wordpress.com/theme/shoreditch That’s where you’ll see the detailed steps needed.
2. WP-Admin is the classic editor and the blue version is the new editor. You can use either, they offer the same functionality.

I followed the instruction.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-options/#templateAnd clicked above.
But I can’t find Panel Page Template from the Page Options box
According to it, I have to locate Page Attribute page? Will you show me how to get there?
Thanks!

Hi. My apologies. I found it.
But that brought me another question.
According to dashboard, Site Pages, there is three pages. Blog Post Test and Test2. When I go to my page scenttraveler.wordpress.com,
I can only see Blog Page.My goal here is one page containing image section on the top of home, about, contact.
I don’t seem to understand the differences between site pages and blog posts. Which one I need to use so as to achieve my goal? And how each page connects in order to appear in one page?
Thanks!

No worries :)
Pages typically are home to static information on your site, things that aren’t going to change often. Examples: contact page, home page, about page….. Any page can be added to your site menu.

Posts are frequent updates. Posts make up a blog. You can decide whether or not you want to even use posts at all. If you are creating a business website you may not use them at all. If you do want to incorporate a blog aspect to a site you can designate a page to house all of your posts or display them on the front page. Up to you. I can help you with that.
