Can't activate account

Hi, I’m trying to activate my account, but I’m not getting the activation email. I’ve re-sent several times, but nothing comes through. I tried with a different email account, and that worked fine; however, I need this account to be able to be activated. Is there anything else I can do?

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account. You can create one gravatar for every username account that applies to all blogs registered under the same username account and email address.

The wordpress.COM blog’s owner can change the relevant email address on their accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account at any time.

I looked through that guide, but I’m not using a gmail account, the email is not in my spam filter, and I’m unable to change to an email account that can receive the email without first activating the email (which I am unable to do, because I can’t receive an activation email).

I have not gotten the email- the service we are using for our emails does not allow that email to come through. I would like to change the email address to a different one to avoid this problem. Is that possible?

Yes, you can change your email.
You can change your account email address from here:
https://wordpress.com/settings/account/
Please note that the change will not immediately take effect as you will receive a validation email at the new email address. Make sure to click the link in the validation email to confirm the email address change.

That didn’t work for me, because it still is asking me to confirm the account at the email that won’t accept wordpress emails. What else can I do to fix this?

Is this for the rodriguelab you are contacting us from? If so, this account has been activated successfully. If you need help changing the email, I can see if I can help you update it.
When you log in to your WP Admin Dashboard here: http://rodriguelab.wordpress.com/wp-admin, do you get this prompt http://d.pr/i/hqOZ? If so, then you should be able to update your address by clicking Send to another email address.
You can also change your email address in your in your Personal Settings under Users → Personal Settings in your dashboard.
