Can’t activate account – not receiving email

    I’ve created an account through SiteGround. I then went to create the WordPress account. I’ve filled in the form and it says it’s sent an activation link but I haven’t received anything. I’ve clicked the resend option several times but still nothing.

    I wondered if I’d manage to not create the account properly but when I attempt to use the email address it says there is already an account with that email address.

    The email isn’t in my spam folder (or any other folders) I’ve checked that.

    Any suggestions on what to do next?

    To clarify, you will have two different “WordPress” accounts:

    1. The account you use to login to your SiteGround hosted site.
    2. The WordPress.com user account you’re using on this support thread and for your account at WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/me

    What we can help with here is the second account. Looking at your niknz user account, the account was already confirmed 4 years ago when it was originally created. Since you were able to create a new post on the forums, it looks like you have the right login password there as well.

    Since your WordPress.com user account is already active, can you give us more information what you’re having trouble with and what the URL is of the page where you’re seeing that error message? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

    Appreciate there are different accounts. Theres actually three, the niknz account I’m writing this on is an unrelated account I setup 4 years ago. I can’t login to the nikdl account i tried to setup earlier so sent this from the other account. The email on the nikdl account is (email visible only to moderators and staff) if that helps?

    I get the error message on the login screen. When I try to put the password in, it comes back and says the account hasn’t been activated yet. But if I click on the link to send it i don’t get any email with an activation link.

    Does that help describe the issue?
