Cant activate any themes in wordpress.com

    Please let me know why I can’t activate any themes? First It’s difficult to get the Them menu to show up; then after selecting 2 different themes–one was Twenty-seventeen; neither would activate. I got a pop up saying :Cant activate theme–contact support’

    Correct account: Yes

    SO I discovered that I am an editor and not an administrator for this blog–cant figure out why as I created the blog as a demo to use in teaching…
    How can this role be changed from editor to administrator?

    Hi There,

    Please check whether you created that site from any other account of yours as you mentioned from which account you are currently logged in is the Editor. To change the role can only be done by the administrator or the site owner, please check the below guide to achieve this:-

    Hi there,

    You’re correct that the orono account you’re using to post here only has an editor role on the site. The site was also not created by your account.

    The site was created by the user, pobox753. That’s the only admin on the site, and that’s who added you as an editor. That’s also the only person who can change the user role for your orono account.
