Can't Activate My WordPress Account

I have had the activation email resent to my account multiple times and have had no luck verifying my email. I would to like to have it activated so I can remove this gravatar image that makes me look like bum alcoholic. Thank you in advance!

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I receive the activation email.
When I click activate I receive a prompt telling me my account is activated: “Your WordPress.com account has been activated!”
But, in my dashboard, under “profile,” I’m told to verify my email on my avatar.
I receive the email, hit activate, but I’m not activated—as far as I can tell.

I’m still unable to verify my email, which leaves me unable to use Gravatar to change my awful avatar.

Of course, my gravatar account is still not verified, but I imagine that must be brought up in the Gravatar forums?

Yes, I’ve signed in and out… but, no change. I’m still directed to the page that states:
“We sent you a confirmation email!
We sent an email to (email visible only to moderators and staff) when you signed up for Gravatar.
In this email you will find a link that, when clicked, will bring you back to a confirmation page. Once you’ve confirmed your email, you can start using Gravatar.
If for some reason you did not receive the confirmation email, feel free to get in touch and we’ll do our best to get you sorted!

@seansulliva can you respond to the email staff-zinnia sent? If you’ll do that I think we can confirm this manually on our end.
