Can’t add a privacy policy

    Hi,

I’ve been recently putting more effort into my blog lately and it came to my attention that all blogs should really have a privacy policy linked somewhere down in the footer.

Thing is, when I go to the settings in my wordpress dashboard where I’m told I should find a section named ‘privacy’, I can’t find seem to find it at all. Because of this, I can’t even begin to try write up a privacy policy, which is really worrying me.

Is there something I’m missing? Or is my dashboard faulty?

Thank you in advance for your time.

  • Hi there,

You are probably looking for an example Privacy page that can be found on self-hosted WordPress.org sites or WordPress.com ones with installed plugins.

You will want to create a new page and add a link to it in your footer or menu. You can use our Privacy Policy as a starting point, here’s more information about it:
