Can't add banner to side bar.
-
I’ve been trying to add 2 banners to my side bar, but when I open the image widget, enter the banner URL and click save, it removes the URL so the banner doesn’t show up. Haven’t had this problem in the past. My blog is http://artclubblog.wordpress.com
The 2 banner images I’m trying to add are:
<img src=”http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab68/The_Hammonds/Jamies%20blog/Linkybutton.jpg”/>
<center><img src=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_yA_6K7ea4aE/S7P2ck_BACI/AAAAAAAABy0/B-VCpUbLYmE/s320/Categorically_Crafting.jpg”/></center>
Thanks so much!

The grab my button codes that work on Blogger blogs do not work on free hoisted WordPress.com blogs. However, devblog has created a grab my button generator for those of us who have free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

Hi again,
Just wondering why I’m also not able to add a “Follow Me” button for Pinterest on my sidebar: <img src=”http://passets-cdn.pinterest.com/images/pinterest-button.png” width=”78″ height=”26″ alt=”Follow Me on Pinterest” />
When I add the HTML code and click save, the information disappears. My blog is: http://artclubblog.wordpress.com
Thanks.

When you post code, please post it between CODE tags so it displays properly. I can’t see anything on that link that wouldn’t be allowed, but then stripped code would be stripped out unless you posted it between CODE tags.

I don’t know anything about code or code tags, so based on the internet is this what you mean?
a href="http://pinterest.com/bellamanu/"><img src="http://passets-cdn.pinterest.com/images/pinterest-button.png" width="78" height="26" alt="Follow Me on Pinterest" /></a -
@artclubblog
There a bit < missing from the Pinterest code you posted. The correct code is:
<a href="http://pinterest.com/bellamanu/"><img src="http://passets-cdn.pinterest.com/images/pinterest-button.png" width="78" height="26" alt="Follow Me on Pinterest" /></aYou can use either an image widget or a text widget.

Thanks but this still doesn’t solve my problem. When I use the image widget, put the code in and save, the code disappears.
-
I copied and pasted the code above into a text widget and have it displaying correctly on my test blog. Would you like to try doing that too?

I’m trying to attach a banner to my blog as well, with no luck. I’ve tried both text and image widgets without success. The one banner I’ve been trying to add is:
<iframe src=”http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=crvaca-20&o=1&p=22&l=ur1&category=endless&banner=139R7FHJ3FKWTF5XAT02&m=endless&f=ifr” width=”250″ height=”250″ scrolling=”no” border=”0″ marginwidth=”0″ style=”border:none;” frameborder=”0″></iframe>
My blog is at http://www.peakaboomer.com
thanks in advance for any help you might provide. Joe H

Thanks so, so much for your help. You’re a dahling! I assumed I should be using an image widget, which was obviously wrong.

@ghgfga
Do you see this in your code above “iframe”. This code cannot be used on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.No blogger initiated advertising is allowed on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
