Can't add Facebook Like Box – text widget in sidebar keeps changing my code

  Hello,
  I’m trying to add a Facebook Like Box to my page using a text widget on my sidebar. I get the code from Facebook, paste it into the text widget body, and then when I click save, it completely changes my code and is preventing the button from functioning correctly on my page. Has anyone been able to add the Like Box to their page successfully? I haven’t been able to find an answer to this one!

  The Facebook “like” box is a Javascript widget. We cannot use it on WordPress.com blogs. The software is stripping the code out to preserve security as this is a multiuser blogging platform. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
