Can’t add “Links” to my site
-
I’m just starting out so sorry for what is probably a newbie questions but on my site: http://bigrigdrivers.wordpress.com I can’t seem to add a “Links” section on the right side just under where the Blogroll is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried everything (i think).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Until you actually enter Links in tour Admin area the Links widget will have nothing to display.

Thank you so much Timethief. That really helped. I wonder if you could answer another question for me. If you look at my page, you’ll see I was able to add another catagory called “My Favorites” under the Blogroll. In the “links” section of the dashboard, there’s a part for you to add a description and it says this will show up when someone rolls over the link or optionally below the link. I don’t want it to show all the time, just when they roll over the link but I don’t see the “optionally” piece of the puzzle. Can you help here? Thanks so much.

It’s theme dependent, if not mistaken. Try switching to another theme and you should see the difference.

Well, I tried previewing about 20 different themes and they all did the same thing so I just don’t know. Thank you so much for the input though, it is greatly appreciated.
Think I’ll just delete the comments part till I figure out another solution.

When you drag the widget to the sidebar, you have to move it around a little till the grey outlined box appears and then you can release the mouse button.
If that still doesn’t work, then on the appearance > widgets page, click “screen options” at the upper right and click the “accessibility” button. Then to add a widget, click the “add” button at the right end of the widget title bar in the available widgets section.
