can’t add links widget
-
hello
i’m trying to add the links widget, but the ‘add’ button is not available. it looks like wordpress thinks i already added the widget so i shouldn’t add it again, but it’s not among the widgets that are in use.
my blog: http://ikdot.wordpress.com
screenshot of dashboard/widgets: http://www.unet.univie.ac.at/~a0201073/screen.jpg
am i doing something wrong? is there a workaround? any help would be much appreciated.

I am having the same problem, cannot add the links widget, i am using chaotic soul theme

I have this with several widgets. Depending on the theme, various widgets have the “Add” button removed from them (although they still show as available).
Why is this?

@ocluke: There’s a bug (since the implementation of 2.7). If you switch themes, you’ve got to remove all widgets in the old theme and save changes before you switch.
If you’re talking about the blog linked to your nick, you have another problem as well – see here:
