Can't add 'meta' widget to sidebar

  Hello there,

  I removed all of my widgets from displaying in my primary widget area, however it now seems that I am unable to add back the ‘meta’ option, which seems to have disappeared from the ‘available widgets’ list – which is quite annoying because I’d use it for logging in and out of my dashboard (I know you can do it via URL but I found this easier). My blog is using the Twenty Ten theme, and I’ve tried multiple times switching to other themes, however it doesn’t seem to be doing anything.

  I tried to export all my posts and move to another site (https://livingamitabha.wordpress.com/), but it would seem as though I still can’t add the “meta” option. Has it been disabled by WordPress? It’s just I used that as the quick way of accessing my dashboard.

  It seems to have added the meta widget after switching to the “twenty ten” theme – although having tried that a few times before I’m pretty confused as to what happened (and it still isn’t showing up in my dashboard “widgets” section, the search and archives widgets which are also active on my site are also not showing up there, strange).
