Can't add new email/change gravatar photo

  Hi,

  I’ve been trying to update my gravatar (profile picture thingie) but it’s not working. I think the problem is that for some reason the email which is linked to my blog isn’t on ’emails to modify’ list, possibly because when I first started my blog, I had a different email address.

  I’ve tried several times to add the email address I now use but each time, it comes back saying: ‘Whoops! Something went wrong!’.

  Hope someone can help me.

  Hi there,

  If I look at your WordPress.com account I see it is using one email address, but in your Gravatar profile I see a different email address. This shouldn’t actually be possible, but we can see if we’re able to fix it. I’ve tried sending you an email from Gravatar to add the new email to your account. If you’ve received it, please follow the instructions in it.

  Otherwise, which email is the correct one? The one showing at https://wordpress.com/me/account/ or the one that appears if you go to https://en.gravatar.com/emails/ ? You can safely type the email addresses in the forum, provided you type each email on its own line. That way it will be hidden but I’ll still be able to see it.

  Hi Kokkieh,

  Thanks for your help.

  Both emails are mine but the correct one for my blog (which I’m trying to add to gravatar) is the one that appears at wordpress.com/me/account:

  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  I’ve checked both emails, including Junk folders but haven’t received the email which outlines adding a new email address.

  I’ve tried sending the email again from a different email address. If you click the link in that email it should add the new address to your Gravatar account. Let me know if you don’t receive this email either, or if the link does not work.

  Excellent. I’m glad that worked.

  If you no longer use the other address you can also remove it from your Gravatar account, then it shouldn’t cause problems in future.
