Can’t add new posts.

I cannot add new posts to my blog.
When I try, I can type a post name, but the actual text of the post appears to be white text on a white background. If I try to preview I get a “Not found” error. I quit and come back in – no draft is saved.
If I just visit the blog to view older posts, the display is all goofy.
Any ideas?

The first thing to always try when things in the dashboard act up is to log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again.

I have tried that. Also tried a different browser. Also, a friend tried to view the blog. The theme seems to have vanished and it is just raw data …
I suspect the inability to post and the corrupt display are connected somehow.

You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not then go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download and install the latest version of flash.
Will you also please tell us how you connect to the internet and to wordpress.com (mobile, DSL, dial-up, satellite, etc.)?
Are you the only person using the computer in question?

What is the URL of the blog you are talking about? Is it the one linked to your username, http://anywhoidigress.com/ .

I am connected to the internet via Comcast Cable. I am the only user of this laptop. My friend is at work on a high speed link. Same display issue. Are you seeing the corrupt display when you look at my blog? It doesn’t look like Andreas09 to me …

I am not seeing a corrupt display. I’m using a Firefox 3.6.6 browser and I see a normal display.

With flexible width themes such as Andreas, there are certain browser window width settings that can make things look a little funky depending on content. Try widening and narrowing your browser window and see what happens. I see nothing wrong with your blog.

I am glad to hear that it looks OK to people other than me and my friend :-)
However, I still can’t post new entries. Any ideas on that?

I figured it out :-)
I have VIPRE installed. That is the only thing that has updated since my last post. My friend has it running as well. Turned VIPRE off, and HEY PRESTO, it works!
