Can't add plugins?

    I’ve got a few plugins i’ve downloaded but I can’t seem to add it
    There is no option to add a new plugin when I click on the plugin menu.
    Every tutorial I look at has an Add Plug in button but there is no such button on my version.

    Can anyone help?

    Sorry… but we cannot upload custom plugins on WordPress.COM. We are limited to some built-in plugins that come with WordPress.COM.

    Check the list of built-in plugins for the plugin you might be looking for:

    But, your can request a plugin if you think it’s features are beneficial to the users of WordPress.COM, by posting your plugin idea on the Ideas forum.

    Hello
    Thankyou for that, it’s cleared it up because i’ve been wrecking my brain for days why I can’t install plugins.
    If I move over to .ORG account do I still need this .COM account for it to work?
    Can I also get my money back?

    You’re Welcome :)

    .ORG is a completely different software from WordPress.COM. It does not have any kind of connection with WordPress.COM. That being said no you can’t login to your WordPress.ORG dashboard using your WordPress.COM credentials. You have to make a new account there, as it is your own personal WordPress platform(which requires new credentials).

    But you can move the contents of your WordPress.COM blog/site to your WordPress.ORG site. Follow the instructions here to do so: https://move.wordpress.com/

    You can also connect your WordPress.ORG account to WordPress.COM and use it’s security features and more using the Jetpack plugin. Learn more about Jetpack here: https://jetpack.com/

    You get a hosting plan elsewhere and upload and install the WordPress.ORG package than you download from here .
