Can’t add RSS subscribe to my page

    Hi,

I’ve been trying to put a link to my feed in the sidebar of my site as per these instructions: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/23/put-your-feed-in-your-sidebar/

I’ve tried everything–putting the code in the “title” section, putting it in the “body,” using straight quotes, using curly quotes, getting rid of the extra space at the end of the code, using wordpress in the code, just using my regular URL (lauranathan.com) in the code, and still nothing. It shows a space there (though I’ve since moved the widget off the page to eliminate the strange white space.

I’ve been trying to do the same thing. I haven’t found the FAQ’s to be all that helpful in this area either. My friend also has a blog here and she too is trying and not succeeding.

Can anyone please give us simple, easy to follow, step-by-step directions here?

    I would truly appreciate it.

    Thank you!

This topic is labeled “resolved” but I’m not seeing it here!
I’m loath to start a new post on exactly the same issue & the faq on this do not help me.
When I remove the “” from the suggested code-I get a pretty RSS. But when I click on it I see my page displayed as html jibberish!

    Hi there,
I used those instructions to get a feed in my side bar today. I got it to work…but I don’t have the pretty RSS button. Mine is just a box with a “x” inside. But once clicked on, it goes to the feed site.

I just went to your site and saw you got it fixed. How did you get the button to look nice?

    Best,
    Rachel
