Can't add to to top slider in triton lite

  I’ve been trying to add articles to the top slider of my site. The help section of wordpress says you just need to tag posts as ‘sticky’ to ensure they appear in the slider. I’ve done this, but I either get only one post or no posts up there. Can someone help?
