Can't add Twitter widget "share a link" and "follow" options

  I have a Twitter widget that posts recent Tweets, but I want the option to have people click a link to “follow” me and an option to post a link to my blog on their own twitter feed. I have tried everything possible and asked others, but no luck. I have gone to this site (https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons). I want the When I paste the code in, the code shows up in the sidebar. i want the “share a link” and “follow” options.

  To add the Follow button to your Twitter Widget, go to your Appearance -> Widgets page and select the option to “Display Follow Button” under your Twitter Widget.

  You can add sharing buttons to your posts via your Settings -> Sharing page:
